William Grant & Sons distills it in Ayrshire, Scotland (Bennett + Carter-Head stills) and finishes with cucumber and rose. That is the unusual part, not a second proof class.
The US brand FAQ still answers “What is gin’s alcohol percentage?” with 41.4% ABV — a real other-market strength. Wikipedia notes 44%–41.4% by market. Read the US neck; do not assume the FAQ number is your bottle.
