Casamigos Mezcal: What the Label Has to Mean

Updated July 2026.

Casamigos mezcal is mezcal, not tequila. Certified mezcal is NOM-070 from 100% maguey or agave at 35–55%. Casamigos tequila bottles use NOM 1609 current / 1416 historical — that number is the tequila DSP, not a mezcal class. Typical US bottles print 40%. No tasting crown or MSRP.
