Piña Colada Rum: What the Label Has to Mean

There is no official best rum for a piña colada. US rum is sugarcane spirit bottled at 40% or more. The IBA card lists rum with coconut cream or coconut milk and pineapple juice. White vs gold vs dark is color talk, not a legal type. VA ABC lists Bacardi Superior at 40.0%. A 1.5-ounce rum pour at 40% is one NIAAA drink.
