Read the country of origin on the label. A Russian name is not Russian production. US vodka (27 CFR 5.142) can be distilled anywhere from any suitable material. Since March 2022, Executive Order 14068 has banned importation of alcoholic beverages of Russian Federation origin into the United States. Bottles that were already here, or that are made in Latvia, Poland, Sweden, France, or the US, are a different customs fact. We will not reprint the 2022 “10 Russian brands / 5 fakes” tasting list.
Stoli (formerly Stolichnaya on many US necks) is distilled in Latvia — the brand’s own 2022 statement and TTB origin. Smirnoff is Diageo; US No. 21 is not a Russian-made bottleSmirnoff. A 750 mL 40% bottle is about 17 drinks. Four pours are four drinks. NIAAA binge pattern is a health line, not a target. Do not drive.
