Angel’s Envy: Proof, Port Finish, and Types

Updated July 2026.

Angel’s Envy flagship is Kentucky straight bourbon finished in port wine barrels. Trade and a 2021 Bacardi PR print 43.3% ABV / 86.6 proof; the homepage fetched names the finish and does not print ABV — read the neck. A 1.5-ounce 43.3% pour is about 1.08 NIAAA standard drinks. Louisville Distilling Company / Bacardi. We will not reprint a 2022 price grid or invent a 2026 MSRP.

Straight bourbon still has to meet before the port finish. The rye SKU is finished in Caribbean rum casks (brand homepage). Cask-strength lots are batch proof. Related: vs Buffalo Trace, bourbon vs whiskey, sipping bourbon.

A 750 mL at 43.3% is about 18.4 standard drinks. Four flagship pours are about 4.3 drinks. NIAAA binge pattern is a health line, not a target. “Up to six years” in older PR is not an age statement unless the bottle prints one. Pour math: whiskey drinks.
