Updated March 2026.
Tennessee whiskey is a state-plus-process claim, not a tasting score. The usual reading is whiskey made in Tennessee and charcoal-mellowed (Lincoln County Process) before aging. Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 prints as Tennessee whiskey at 40% / 80 on Brown-Forman’s US product-info sheet. A 1.5-ounce pour is one NIAAA drink. Bonded Jack is 50%. Flavored Jack SKUs are 35% whiskey specialties — not the class. George Dickel is another Tennessee whisky line. No 19-brand ranking or MSRP.
