Updated August 2026.
US Tanqueray London Dry is 47.3% ABV / 94.6 proof on the current tanqueray.com US footer (“47.3% Alc/Vol”). A 1.5-ounce pour is 1.18 NIAAA standard drinks. That is not the UK supermarket bottle, which is often 43.1% (sometimes 40%). Diageo owns the brand. London Dry is a process class (botanicals in the still; no post-still flavor except water), not a GPS pin in London.
Four botanicals are the house line: juniper, coriander, angelica, liquorice. No. Ten, Rangpur, and Sevilla are other SKUs at other strengths — read those necks. We will not reprint a 2021 price list. Related: gin guide, Bombay Sapphire (also a high-proof US gin).

A 750 mL US London Dry is about 20 standard drinks (750 × 0.473 ÷ 17.7). Four 1.5-ounce US pours are 4.7 drinks. NIAAA binge pattern is a health line, not a target. IBA Negroni is 30 ml gin — about 0.80 of a drink at 47.3%. Pour math: cocktail drink math. Proof language: what proof means.
