Who Makes Kirkland Beer?

Updated July 2026.

Kirkland beer is not one brewery forever. The recent co-branded Helles Lager and Vintage Ale were brewed by Deschutes (Bend, Oregon), launched December 2024. A 1 July 2026 distributor notice ends that partnership; VinePair says warehouse stock is likely gone by fall 2026. Older Light and variety-pack SKUs were other contractors. The next can, if any, will name a new brewer. Read the can.

Beer ABV is on the can, not in a Costco memo. A US 12-ounce 5% beer is one NIAAA standard drink. We will not invent a 2026 12-pack price as an MSRP. See how many beers to get drunk and Modelo ABV.

What recent cans actually said

SKU Brewer named Status (2026)
Kirkland Signature Helles Lager Deschutes (co-branded) Partnership ending after 1 Jul 2026 notice. WBC silver 2025 / bronze 2026
Kirkland Signature Vintage Ale Deschutes (co-branded) Same wind-down
Kirkland Light / older variety pack Prior contractors (not Deschutes) VinePair: not currently available
Next Kirkland beer Unknown Do not invent a 2027 brewer

Hours and grocery beer clocks are state law, not a warehouse clockgas-station hours. Four 5% 12-ounce beers are four drinks. NIAAA binge pattern is a health line, not a target.
