What is not the owner story
Essences is a different 30% ABV liquid (73 kcal / 1.5 oz on the brand FAQ). The ready-to-serve Classic Martini bottle is listed at 35% before ice. Flavored vodkas on the footer stay 40% unless the neck says otherwise. Grey Goose’s FAQ also says it does not produce or private-label Kirkland vodka. Sister how many times is Grey Goose distilled (5193) is still old — not rewritten this batch and not linked (no 2026 file).
The 2022 URL priced a 750 ml at $32.99, called Frank’s sale a reaction to “vodka above $20,” and walked Jägermeister / Mast-Jägermeister corporate history as if it were the Grey Goose owner. Unused as a price list and as a sidecar company lecture. 27 CFR 5.142 is the US vodka class (≥40% as vodka). A 750 ml Original is about 17 standard drinks; 1 L about 22.5; 1.75 L about 39.5. Four 80-proof pours are four drinks. That is count, not a ranking.
1997 is founding. 2004 is the Bacardi announcement year. Those are different facts. Frank and Thibault created a French wheat vodka for the US market. Bacardi Limited is the company that owns the brand now. We will not walk a Jägermeister ownership tree or invent why the sale happened. Leftover comparison pages already exist (Grey Goose vs Absolut); they do not change the owner or the 40/80 neck.
Founders are history. Owner is Bacardi. ABV is 40/80. Country is France. Read the neck if a flavored or Essences bottle is in your hand.
27 CFR 5.142 is identity, not ownership. France on the FAQ is origin, not a second owner. If a bottle in your hand is Essences or a flavored SKU, the neck — not the 2004 press release — is the ABV.
