Updated June 2026.
US Gordon’s London Dry Gin is 40% ABV / 80 proof on the Virginia ABC product tile. A 1.5-ounce US pour is one NIAAA standard drink. UK and some other-market bottles have long been 37.5% — that is a tax/market split, not a different cocktail. Diageo owns the brand. US gin must be at least 40% if labeled gin.
We will not reprint a 2021 price grid. Related: gin types, Tanqueray, gin for a G&T.
US neck vs export
| Market / SKU | Typical ABV | 1.5 oz drinks |
|---|---|---|
| US London Dry | 40% / 80 (VA ABC) | 1.00 |
| UK / some export | Often 37.5% | 0.94 |
| Pink / flavored | Read the neck | Do the math |
| 750 mL US 40% | 40% | ~17 drinks in the bottle |
Four US pours are four drinks. NIAAA binge pattern is a health line, not a target. Tanqueray US is 47.3% — a different bottle. No 2026 MSRP. Pour math: shot math.
