“Under $100” is a sticker, not a Japanese-whisky class. Japanese-whisky class. Japan’s 2021 industry standards (JSLMA) cover mash, distill, and age in Japan — they are trade rules, not a TTB type. Typical US 40% lots exist; we will not invent a 2026 ranking or MSRP. A 1.5-ounce pour at 40% is one NIAAA drink. Suntory, Nikka, and the rest — read those necks. No unpublished mash %.
