Canadian whisky is a legal class under the Food and Drug Regulations. It must be mashed, distilled, and aged in Canada at least three years in small wood (FDR B.02.020–B.02.023). Typical US bottles print 40% ABV — Crown Royal Deluxe is 40% on prior nutrition / SAQ tiles. A 1.5-ounce pour at 40% is one NIAAA drink. It is not bourbon. No 2026 ranking or unpublished mash %.
