No public primary source names the distillery behind Kirkland Canadian whisky. Current reporting puts the importer at LeVecke Beverage Group (VinePair 2026). Older back labels named Wide World Importers, a Kentucky trade name once associated with Sazerac (Forbes 2021). The Crown Royal rumor is taste-and-label folklore — Grey Goose’s “we don’t make Kirkland” rule applies here too. Costco has not said Diageo fills this bottle.
Canadian whisky sold as Canadian must be mashed, distilled, and aged in Canada under that standard (typically ≥3 years). Most house bottles print 40% ABV. Turn the bottle around. TTB requires bottler and importer lines. If a 2026 label finally names a Canadian DSP, that label wins. A 1.75 L 40% handle is about 39.5 drinks. Four pours are four drinks. NIAAA binge pattern is a health line, not a target. Drink count: how much whiskey to get drunk.
