Aviation American Gin is an Oregon-distilled gin at 42% ABV / 84 proof — two points above the 40% US gin floor. This page is the clear, unaged gin, not Aviation Old Tom (barrel-aged, a different SKU in the same catalog). Juniper is present; the house wants you to notice floral and cardamom as well. Hub: gin.

What the bottle actually is
Davies and Reynolds, Portland; later celebrity-ownership copy does not change the 42%. TTB gin identity still requires a juniper character (27 CFR 5.147). A 1.5-ounce pour at 42% is 1.05 standard drinks. We skipped the Old Tom row so this slug stays the core gin.
Lab notes
Nose, rewritten: juniper, then Parma-violet floral, citrus peel, a green-vegetal snap, pinch of spice. Palate: cardamom and cinnamon step in front of the juniper; floral continues. Finish: soft spice and a return of peel. That is the house N/P/F in lab language, not a paste of the Jazz Age bottle paragraph.
A Negroni will show the cardamom. A very dry martini will show whether you miss a more juniper-forward London dry — Beefeater is that other pole.
