Best Reposado Tequila Under $50

Updated May 2026.

Reposado is a CRT aging class, not a $50 ranking. NOM-006 requires oak rest of at least two months and less than one year. Most US 100% agave reposados print 40% ABV, so a 1.5-ounce pour is one NIAAA drink. “Under $50” is the sticker that day — allocation and tax move it. This is not a 2022 top-10 tasting and not a 2026 MSRP list.

100% agave is not an additive-free seal. Read the four-digit NOM. Related: reposado, reposado vs blanco, additive-free.

What the class actually is

Claim What it means
Reposado 2 months to <1 year in oak (NOM-006)
Typical US ABV 40% — one drink per 1.5 oz
100% agave Sugars from blue weber — not zero abocantes
Under $50 Shelf tag that day, not MSRP
NOM Four digits on the bottle

A 750 mL 40% bottle is about 17 drinks. Four reposado pours are four drinks. NIAAA binge pattern is a health line, not a target. Casamigos current NOM is 1609 (1416 is historical). Pour math: tequila drinks.
