Updated March 2026.
These are two blended Scotches from the same Diageo house at the same US proof. The official US Black Label and Double Black pages both print 40% ABV. A 1.5-ounce pour is one NIAAA drink. Black Label is a 12-year blend. Double Black is a no-age-statement blend; brand copy leans smokier. This is not a 2023 winner and not a 2026 MSRP list.

A 750 mL 40% bottle is about 17 drinks. Four pours are four drinks. “Double malt” on marketing copy is not a Scotch class. Pour math: whiskey drinks.
